By pruning and trimming your trees, you improve the overall health and strength of the tree. Pruning and trimming a young tree will benefit the plant, in the long run, and require less corrective pruning as the plant matures while giving the tree will have a healthier formation. If the tree loses its shape, the plant can weaken and not have the strength to support the entire tree.
